The 5.6.7.8's//the Yum yums

Søndag 3 november kliner vi til med denne godbiten. Legendariske The 5.6.7.8’s tar turen fra Tokyo til Moss. Bandet som startet i 1986 har bla et soundtrack i kultfilmen Kill Bill. Som support denne kvelden kommer selveste The Yum Yums. Her blir det surfrock,garasjerock og powerpop på en og samme dag. 

The 5.6.7.8's is a trio from Tokyo, Japan whose music is reminiscent of American surf music, rockabilly, and garage rock. Since 1991 their music has been released by Time Bomb Recordings and by Jack White’s label Third Man Records among others. The group became quite popular after their appearance in Quentin Taratino's Kill Bill Vol. 1, in which they performed "I Walk Like Jayne Mansfield", "I'm Blue" (a cover of The Ikettes' song) and “Woo Hoo" in a Tokyo club. Their original song "The Barracuda" is also featured in The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift soundtrack.

In 2024, They are going to release new single records. They have done a show at the Marimekko event in Tokyo and a few shows abroad in China, Hong Kong.
